Inline – the highly modular I/O system

  • Easy handling and commissioning
  • Large selection of PLCs, bus couplers, I/Os, and function terminals provide maximum flexibility
  • The narrow overall width and tailored number of channels of the I/O modules save space in the control cabinet
  • The PLC system can be easily integrated into existing PROFINET networks, thanks to PROFINET device functionality

Automate applications easily and cost-effectively with the Inline system consisting of PLCs, bus couplers, and I/Os for the control cabinet. Due to its flexibility, the automation and I/O system can be used in a large number of projects. Combined with the specifically developed programmable logic controllers, even complex automation processes can be developed systematically. Moreover, the open bus concept means that the system provides you with a number of options in various networks.

PLCs, bus couplers, or I/Os – the Inline system

PLCs of the Inline series can be easily extended with versatile I/O modules and feature an integrated web server. The bus coupler integrates the Inline I/O system into common fieldbus systems and Ethernet networks. You can use safe I/Os to implement solutions for functional safety, and function terminals provide freedom in a wide range of automation requirements.

Whether with a Phoenix Contact PLC or in other common networks: Inline offers maximum flexibility and variety in your cost-effective automation applications.

PLCs – automation with system

Cost-effective and now even more powerful: The new, redesigned PLCs of the Inline series provide the option to communicate via PROFINET or Modbus/TCP. They support all common communication technologies such as Ethernet and cellular communication. In addition, they can be easily extended with versatile Inline I/Os and feature an integrated web server.

You can program the system with PC Worx Express (free of charge) or PC Worx in IEC 61131-3.

Bus couplers – create connections

Thanks to the free choice of bus coupler, the Inline I/O system can be integrated into all common fieldbus systems and Ethernet networks. Depending on the bus coupler, you can connect up to 63 I/O modules (up to 16 PCP participants).

One of the most compact bus couplers on the market, with a width of 40 mm, saves space in the control cabinet. The new form factor was designed for the PROFINET, CANopen®, and EtherCAT® protocols. Of course, the new products also support technologies such as SafetyBridge V3.

I/Os – one terminal, one function

The Inline I/Os allow you to solve automation tasks easily and cost-effectively. Following the principle of “one terminal, one function”, you will always find the right function for your automation task in the Inline ECO I/O range. No special terminal parameterization is needed. Protect your application easily and without any additional software by using the Inline ECO Safe terminal.

It goes without saying that all Inline ECO terminals can also be combined with all Inline bus couplers and standard modules.

Safe I/Os – functional safety in automation

Our safety-relevant I/O modules also underscore the flexibility of the Inline I/O system. Depending on the bus couplers and safety controllers, the I/Os can be used with PROFIsafe in PROFINET and PROFIBUS systems or in INTERBUS Safety applications.

We offer digital input and output modules as well as relay modules.
