HERMetic Sampler A-2 and A-4 - Land Applications

What Is It?

The HERMetic Sampler A-2 and A-4 by Honeywell Tanksystem is a portable sampler designed for restricted sampling applications on storage tanks, commonly used for crude oil in refineries and terminals. The sampler is ideal for situations where open transfer of the liquid sample is permitted.

These models are optimized for sampling under open conditions while maintaining high reliability and ease of use.

How Does It Work?

The sampler housing is mounted directly on a 2” HERMetic ball valve or a 4” deck valve depending on the model (A-2 or A-4). The sampling bottle is lowered vertically into the tank via a graduated tape for precise depth measurement. A clear window in the housing allows operators to monitor the bottle’s position during sampling.

After collection, the liquid is transferred under open conditions to a laboratory bottle for analysis.
