What Is It?

Honeywell Tanksystem’s HERMetic UTImeter Otex is a portable, electronic liquid level gauge designed specifically for open gauging operations on petroleum and chemical storage tanks where such access is permitted. This highly accurate unit is ideal for custody transfer, inventory control, and free water detection in shore tanks, and is mounted directly onto the open gauging hatch.

With one operation, the Otex enables users to perform:

• Ullage level measurement
• Temperature verification
• Oil-water interface detection
• Innage/reference height detection via dip datum plate

• FKM gasket and tape connector for hydrocarbon compatibility

How Does It Work?

The Otex is factory-calibrated and does not require recalibration over its lifetime. The integrated RTD temperature probe sends accurate temperature data to the device’s electronics, with sensor characteristics stored internally. This means sensor or tape changes require no recalibration.
