Wireless Device Manager
What Is It?
The Honeywell OneWireless™ Wireless Device Manager (WDM) is the central hub for managing ISA100 Wireless™ (IEC 62734) field device networks and instrumentation. WDM integrates three core functionalities into one platform:
- System Manager: Governs field devices and manages communication within the ISA100 Wireless network.
- Security Manager: Issues and manages security keys, enabling secure device onboarding and protecting the network.
- Gateway: Acts as a communication bridge between wireless field instruments and higher-level systems.
Key Capabilities:
- Extensive Interface Portfolio:
WDM supports a wide range of industrial protocols, including:
- Modbus (TCP & RTU)
- HART over IP
- OPC-UA and OPC-DA
- Experion CDA
- Honeywell Enraf
- Gateway General Client Interface (GCI)
- Rapid Integration:
Seamlessly integrates ISA100 Wireless field instruments into control systems, asset management tools, and advanced applications.
- Built-in Cybersecurity:
Equipped with a secured HTTPS interface and application proxy agent to minimize cybersecurity risks and protect data integrity.
- Advanced Monitoring and Diagnostics:
Offers preconfigured reports, key performance indicators, and real-time diagnostics to simplify network management and troubleshooting.
- Redundancy for High Availability:
Supports redundancy features to maximize data availability and improve overall network reliability.
What Problems Does It Solve?
WDM significantly simplifies the deployment and management of ISA100 Wireless networks by combining security, network control, and gateway communication in one device. It reduces integration time, lowers cyber risks, and increases operational efficiency through its intuitive interface and comprehensive diagnostics—making it ideal for critical industrial environments.
